Here are some ideas on how to improve your energy efficiency - things you can due to improve your energy savings and evaluate your need for our heating services before winter arrives:
- Check the filters in your warm air heating system monthly and clean or replace them if they are dirty.
- Have your heating system checked periodically by a licensed professional to ensure optimal operation.
- A programmable thermostat can be used to regulate the temperature of your home while you are away. You can save as much as 10% of your heating costs if regularly used for 8 hour periods. (Ask us about energy saving rebates on thermostats!)
- Examine your water heater and verify the temperature setting is "Low" or 120 degrees - thereby lowering hot water costs.
